For over $1000 a night, I was shocked at the condition and poor service at this resort. It should also be noted that there are no backup generators that connect the guest rooms- and the power goes out frequently (it happened twice while we were there in a 5 day stay). I actually had to call them on my cell phone to get someone on the line. When calling the front desk to try to rectify some of our other issues we were having, we were met with a dial tone/disconnected signal every signal time. It’s a shame that this historic property is in this condition. The rooms are dated, bathrooms unclean with cracked tiles, and there were constantly dirty dishes in the hallways. And speaking of checkin, our room was booked as a second floor room, which was changed at check in to a first floor room. We would have never known this if we hadn’t been searching for another place to stay! Seems like something that should have been revealed at our check in. Apparently, guests of this hotel can also use the amenities of the Reach, another Hilton property nearby. The most notable thing about this stay was the unaccommodating demeanor of every single employee we interacted with- from the check in staff, to the indoor bar/coffee area and gift shop employees. From check in to check out, we were constantly disappointed with the condition of the resort and service provided. The only good thing about this resort is the location.
